3/15 Kittencal's Roast Chicken
I made oatmeal wheat bread on Sunday with the intention of posting the recipe on here.
It came out dense and misshapen, so that recipe will have to wait.
Wishing to contribute something I am sharing a recipe I discovered last week
when I made my first whole chicken ever. When I couldn't find the giblets I left a desperate message on my mom's phone, but after that first hurdle the chicken came out great.

3/19 St. Patricks Day Cookies
St. Patricks day is one of my favorite holidays. No obligations, no travel. Just fun.
The baltimore parade is a must see. This juxtaposition of happy drunks, and festive children is rare.

To celebrate I made cookies for my coworkers. In my collection of well over 100 cookie cutters there were no shamrock cutters. I made the shamrocks by rolling the icing in to flat sheets, cutting the icing into circles and then into forths. I placed three of these forths in a shamrock shape. I do not recommend torturing yourself with this process. The icing is great simply smeared on the cookie.

3/22 Banana Crumb Muffins
We began using agave nectar in our coffee last week. It has a subtle sweetness that I thought would
work well in baked goods. The complication, however, is that nectar (a liquid) can compromise
the balance of a recipe when substituted for dry sugar. Adding a fourth cup of wheat germ seemed to solve this problem as well as adding some extra nutrition. The final results were positive. The muffins were light, airy and sweet, with a wonderful crunchy top.

Roast Rosemary Chicken and Vegetables
We buy most our meat at Costco, so trying to find something different to do with each of the ten packs of chicken breasts can become challenging. I found this recipe on allrecipes.com yesterday and absolutely loved it. Even Matt, who does not share my passion for vinegar, enjoyed the meal.
